In the latest and likely last of a series of appeals, trials and protracted negotiations over 50 years, a 70-year-old man convicted of killing his former girlfriend in Roclland in 1967 has lost his final chance of seeing daylight. Rober Francis was 20 when he shot Marialice Pike to death.
